Instructions:

We started by drawing a grid on the plywood of 1' x 1' squares. The sides of the cabinet were formed first by cutting a one foot strip off the side of a sheet of plywood. The angle at the top for the door was a 45 degree cut from corner to corner of the 1 ft. grid lines. The vertical part of the back is two feet, the front below the door is one foot.

The angle at the sides was cut two feet long to one foot in, again using our grid on the cabinet.

Most of the assembly is pretty straight-forward from there. I made a mistake of not making the legs long enough, which I later cured by adding 4" casters to the bottom of the cabinet. You want it high enough that you don't have to lean over to work.

The aluminum flashing was attached to the inside with a staple gun, and lapped like house siding to prevent sand from accumulating behind it.

The front and back pieces of the lower part of the cabinet were cut off a few inches short of the bottom to leave a slot. Above that I also put a baffle, to slow down blast and air coming from above. I later took some old drop cloths and made a skirt around it, which helps to keep the dust down quite a bit. I also went to a better clamps like those available from Rocker that you can see here

These seem to hold the top shut much more tightly.

If I had it to do over, I would relocate the light to the right side because I am right handed, and I would probably also move it from the back of the cabinet to the front.

Bake for half an hour, serve warm, feeds 12.
