Imperial Heart Surgery:  Freshening the Motor, and Some Other Stuff

March 6, 2014:  I love it when plan starts to come together.

Things haven't been going too fast but more progress is being made on the Imperial's motor.  The alternator an a couple of belts have made their appearance, and thankfully Miley Cyrus, er, Justin Bieber has taken his leave.

Another view, this one showing off that funky heater hose bracket.

More things are happening here.  There's a heater hose!  The carb is on and the air cleaner assembly is there, at least for the moment.  The air cleaner assembly and breather were powdercoated, and I got an almost new pie pan from a fellow Imperial owner to dress things up a bit.   It's getting close to time to fire her up.  It will be great to hear it running again!

We are going to Topsail Island for spring break and depending upon how things go we might take the Imperial with us.  I would love to cruise her down to North Carolina.  Wouldn't that be great?!

Next:  Heater core issues.

Previous:  Bieberization of the motivation.
