Three House Pictures

I thought yesterday was the end of the year finale, but I was wrong.  While I did not get out to the house to take pictures, the house came to the office.  Well, a small part of the house did, anyway.  We hired Michael Klem and Jeff Guill, who are doing the facade work on my office building, to do some custom work on two walls in the master bathroom. The plan is for these two walls to have a random pattern of glass blocks.  Since there wasn't any obvious way to do this, we brought in the guys who specialize in tricky jobs.  The plan they came up with was to frame the wall in cut down Azek PVC 2x4 boards.  These will then be clad in DuRock, a form of cement board.  This  built up assembly will be wide enough that the tile that covers the wall where there is no glass block will be even with the surface of the glass block.  The plan is also to build up the framing for the walls here at my office where there are tools and heat, and then to do the final assembly at the house.
