Communication breakdown: the dormer on the barn was intended to accommodate a future vehicle hoist. The hoist is twelve feet tall and eleven feet wide. The raised section was high enough, but not wide enough, so the dormer is being removed and widened.
The front door is installed. A construction door is in place for now, to avoid damage. Inside the house, the construction dust is swept up and the house seems very empty. The framers are pretty much done on the upper floor.
