EDD: Spring 2003

The Story:  Dennis resides in Lexington, Kentucky. The Lakewood you see below will eventually cohabitate with him, but will winter this year in dry storage in across the river in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dennis hopes to have it roadable before the first day of Spring, 2003.

It is a 1961 700 Series Lakewood with 80 hp. (Dennis thinks) and 3-spd. It has radio, heater, and more, according to Dennis. I ask, what more is there? A purely rhetorical question, of course. The odometer shows 70,400 miles indicated. It's been in dry storage since 1975. It also has a paint code Dennis has not been able to track (984 EE); Dennis thinks this is an original two-tone. If you recognize this paint code, please either e-mail me, or post your answer to the Virtual Vairs list. Please mention Dennis' name in your post.
