The Story:  This is Al's third Vair in the air, the first being a '67 140 convertible and the second a '69 crown coupe.  His current project is a '69 convertible that is being mounted on an '85 Cutlass frame.  Al's gotta have a V8.  Al tells us, "The Cutlass went up on the stands in the fall of '01.  It was stripped to the frame, floor and firewall up to the spring of '02.  Since the spring the Vair body has been attached to the frame and the firewall attached to the Vair body which is where it is in the photo." More recently he reinstalled the front clip.  The powertrain that Al intends to install was donated from an '89 Firebird.  Al hoped to have the car ready to go to Carlisle last summer.
